HOC EDIT 2026 | Q1 Issue
There’s a difference between stepping away and refining what stays.
What looked like a gap between Q4 2025 and Q1 this year wasn’t inactivity, it was discernment. A quieter kind of work. The kind that doesn’t always translate in real time, but shapes everything that follows.
In that space, my eye sharpened. Creatively and personally. My process became more exacting. Decisions felt less reactive, more resolved. More intentional, unapologetically so.

This year’s word is refinement— a natural evolution of last year’s alignment. Once things come into focus, the need to fine-tune becomes undeniable.
In this issue I’m sharing a few home edits that I’m obsessed with; intentionally designed with a relaxed (liveable), luxury lifestyle in mind.

CREATIVITY UNHINGED
For me, this season of creativity came from something simple: stillness.
A slower pace, fewer external inputs, and more time at home created space for clarity. Less noise, more perspective. The result wasn’t forced, it was revealed.
With that shift, my home became an active canvas again. Renovations that began last fall moved forward with intention. Design details & furnishings throughout were reconsidered and home now reflects the owners dwelling within.

ON MATERIALITY
Materiality is often overused and under-defined.
At its core, it’s what shapes both the visual and emotional experience of a space. It functions as:
A concept driver setting the overall direction and design language
A sensory layer shaping how a space feels through light, texture, and touch
A framework for cohesion creating connection without sameness
A signal of quality expressing craftsmanship and intention
A storytelling tool grounding the space in context
Pro Tip: Sensory experience defines the immediate feeling, but it’s the combination of materiality, proportion, and flow that makes that feeling last.
My end goal is continuity; not through repetition, but through a consistent point of view.

A REFINED AESTHETIC
Design is rarely about a single focal point. At its best, it’s an orchestration where materiality works together to create clarity, balance, and a defined point of view.
My aesthetic has never been singular. It’s not strictly modern or purely contemporary. What has remained consistent is a commitment to minimalism, clean lines, and a neutral foundation layered with warmth and a sense of calm. Light and airiness as a backdrop.
For contrast, I’ve created moments that shift; spaces enriched with color, texture, and pattern. Custom in feel, intentional in execution, and designed to endure without aesthetic compromise.
What remains is a clearer edit. Not a pivot, but a refined iteration of what was always there.
This work continues at home and for clients. More considered, more precise, and more reflective of how I see and shape a space today at home and for client projects.
